I may have to send my halo reach back to amazon and have it exchanged. I noticed that my statue looks like it's had a piece of sandpaper taken to it. The paint everywhere is scuffed, and the figures themselves feel extremely rough in texture

Very sorry to hear about your botched statue, AFB. I hope Amazon sends you one that's in better condition than what you originally received.

They better, there's nothing worst getting a messed up item when that's the spotlight of the item!

@lauren - The good thing is that amazon is the best when it comes to returning and replacing items. You're right though, I hope I get one in better condition then this first one. @syn - For real. I assume that Noble Team is supposed to look a little battle damaged, but Noble 1 and Noble 2 look more like a botched up and scuffed paint job. Example pics are pretty crap, but I had to zoom in otherwise the mirrored back of the curio cabinet would reflect the flash and render the pic completely useless. You can still see the spotty paint and what looks like marks from the figures being scraped across a rough surface.

Actually your first assumption was right, it is battle damage since Carter and Kat are both the oldest members of Noble Team and Jorge also has a fair bit seeing that he is a Spartan II with the modified Grenadier armor. Pictures are a bit excessively big but was in a rush to put them up since mine have the same battle damage details to them as well. Remember, Kat didn't get the prosthetic before becoming a Spartan III, she got it during a battle which would make sense that their armor would be banged up.

I also didn't factor in the fact that the statues are all hand painted so I probably have to account for each different painters eye to detail as well. Either way, I already requested a replacement from amazon and a pickup for this one. The new one will be at my door tomorrow, and UPS will pick up the old one at the same time. Figure I have nothing to lose since amazon doesn't charge anything for return/replacements.

Your replacement is already on its way? Wow. This is why I love Amazon so much. Their CS is just outstanding. Very glad to hear things are going smoothly atm.

Things always go smoothly with amazon's CS. I've returned stuff for exchange before with them. The replacement is shipped via next day fedex from amazon at no charge, and the original is shipped back to amazon at no charge to me. Amazon even sets up the pick up appointment with UPS, and they drive to my house with the return label to pick up my return package. I love how hassle free it all is. ^_^

Yes and Amazon.com and WAAAAAY more things to buy than the crappier Canadian sister site....lol! Good to know that Amazon is doing their job, I am also thankful since I've bought a rather expensive item from the stores who go under Amazon shops, TINSC99(is that the name?) ripped me off a $130 Yamato Macross toy which I never saw, after two weeks, I notified Amazon and the refunded my money and followed up with confirmation emails asking whether I got the package. I never did but glad to know I wasn't out on $130 USD(which was a big difference back a couple of years ago).
Are they sending you a completely new Legendary Edition? What if you used the codes?

Ebay them lol! Nah I'm kidding, the service that Amazon offers just feels wrong to get a new set of codes.
I did not know that these statues were hand painted, neat!

The thought of selling them on ebay didn't cross my mind, but I figured knowing my luck, they'd either not sell, or would, but amazon would check the returned package then charge me for not returning it complete.
A lot of people thought that Bungie meant that each statue was hand crafted, but nope, they're molded, then hand painted.

Ah that makes sense, I wouldn't know which one I would want, Master Chief's helmet(if it were true 1/1 scale) or the Noble Team statue though I don't really like the MJOLNIR MK.VI armor in terms of looks~

I'd definitely love the helmet, if it were true 1/1 scale and able to be worn. XD
I was hoping to continue the main Reach campaign tonight, but thanks to Fedex screwing up as they usually do (at least that been every experience I've had with them), my new one won't get here until tomorrow now. Amazon ordered my replacement to be shipped next day business, it shipped out oct. 4th, and was supposed to arrive on oct. 5th (today). However, Failex, as I like to call them, decided to ship it regular home ground and estimates that it well arrive tomorrow. Now I know I shouldn't complain too much considering I'm not paying anything for this shipping, but everytime something is shipped to me through Failex, there is always some screw up in the shipping process that delays my package getting to me. This is why I never willingly use them for anything.
*steps off of soapbox*

Yes they are a rather odd service, I remember ordering my Arcade Stick from Play-Asia and it came from Hong Kong to my city then down to the US and back up to my door step. Although it did arrive next day, I asked the delivery guy when it took a circle down to Chicago(I think or somewhere in the east coast), he just told me it was where their main operations where located for sorting out packages....lol.
Where did you last leave off on Reach?
