Well, I guess I'll have to buy them then I was going to wait to see if they would make a starter box, but I guess it doesn't matter now. Yay ;D

@ GKM: Wow! Nice DVDs. Appleseed...isn't that a rather old anime? I know there's a new movie out with the same title...Appleseed Ex Machina, I think it's called? But how come you purchased the second series to GitS instead of the first? Was it on sale? A FUNi rep recently started a thread over at Animeondvd.com to see how many people would purchase a vol. 6 plus box "ending set" for shuffle since the big wigs at FUNi apparently caught wind of how disappointed fans were that they currently have no box for their shuffle dvds. I believe that we will see a box with vol. 6 as the response has been huge in that thread. Makes me a happy guy ^^ And that is why FUNi is now my favorite R1 company since Geneon's passing. They really know how to please their fans. I hope they change their minds and you're able to get a Shuffle art box for yourself. I have so many series that are "naked" (meaning boxless! ^^) so I understand your dilemma.

@ Kazoo - If you don't mind, let me know how Appleseed is after you watch it. I've been interested in it for a while, but I've never found a good, trustworthy view point to gauge a purchase of it from. @ L - I have a few boxless series myself. Though I suppose I'd rather have a boxless full series, as opposed to a box with an incomplete half series *stares at half released Rozen Maiden box*

Don't worry, animefanboy. You're not the only one with an incomplete Rozen Maiden box. I'm still mulling over whether to buy that one disc of Traumend. T_T

I bought the first disc for Traumend in the hopes that the whole situation would turn around. Shows what I get for being optimistic. T_T

Oh lord... don't get me started on that. I was so pissed after I heard that. I was still playing WoW then and I would shout on Trade Channel about it for like a week. I got some angry tells for a while after that... (towards the company and me for shouting too much...)
I'm still pissed that no one else has released Rozen Maiden yet. It was so popular in Japan. Blaaaaah, bad can of worms, bad!

Appleseed is old, and this version is the original movie, which is REALLY dated. It really doesn't bring Shirow Masamune's world to light, not like the new one (which I own, incidentally). It's kinda like Macross the original series - i.e: really shoddy.
As for buying GiTS: SAC: SSS, I just saw it for cheap at a department store and had to buy it. The series are a bit too expensive, and besides, SSS really "stands alone" and don't forgive the pun, as it's fully intended. The movie is apart from the main story, as it happens after things at the end of the series, but it doesn't need you to have seen it to get into the story. Actually, the movie seemed to me to be somewhat of a replacement for the first movie. It had so many similarities, but oh well.
I'm okay with Rozen Maiden, I just wish that someone else had the rights to Shana over here, as the company who got her isn't doing them now, so we only have the first DVD! T_T

I whined about not getting a box with Shana, but if they'd have only released one vol. of it then I would have raged!

@ Oryhara: Yikes. Sounds like you really got worked about about this whole RM/Geneon debacle. I guess the only thing we can do is try to keep the optimism alive, like AFB is trying to do. @ GKM: Wow, that's not good. What's with the hold up on the rest of Shana? Did the the license lapse? =(

Nah, the company sucks. I wish they'd change over to Madman, the one that gets the rest of the good stuff...

Mailman came and delivered some new anime for me yesterday - More AIR (yay! ^^) and the LE edition of E7 vol. 6.

Good for you! ^^ I like the anime version of AIR designs over that of the game. I'd rather have the Japanese manga of Eureka 7 (it is a manga in the special version there, right?), but if you can't read the language (unlike me), then by all means, that's good for you. Boy, I always go on, don't I? -shot-
