I got DBZ S1 used on blu ray, and watched a few eps. I think AoT is a lot more intense. not really comparable, imho. you should of " NEVER" pick up Blu Ray DragonBall Z Season 1, now you HAVE to commit to get the entire season

I just finished watching the last disc for Season 1. It's definitely worth buying, considering how many eps the first season comes w/. I just ordered Season 2 from amazon. Under 20 bucks for an entire season? Works for me!

Finally got around to finishing Outbreak Company. It's about an otaku who had been sent by the Japanese government to do a cultural exchange with another country in a different world. The show does not get bogged down w/ the mechanics, instead it's more focused on the values of otaku culture to deepen relationships w/ a foreign country. The show went by very quickly, wrapping up a storyline that was left dangling from the beginning. In a way, I was disappointed that the show wasn't longer, but I could imagine that the studio feels the show is too niche-y to be worth a second season. All in all, the show is original, well and smartly written, and probably underrated (if the lack of merchandise like figures is any indication). Final Grade: A

Final Grade: A lol.. kinda like a pilot episode.. most of these anime show gets a good 15 episodes.. they try to smash everything into 1 season.. fearing they won't get a 2nd.. sacrificing... a lot of the character development and plot line ex: Highschool of the Dead

Finally finished watching Buddy complex on Hulu. It's a mecha show that sounds very misleading at first. Just the title of the show made me think it would be a yaoi show. . . and nope, yaoi fans should look elsewhere. The beginning episode was thrilling, exciting, interesting, and certainly grabbed my interest. The boy who went through time would have been a better title for this show, in my view. 70 years in future, the world has split into two super powers, which are at war. There's an American/Western power, and then an Asian/Eastern power. And one high school kid named Aoba is thrown 70 years into the future, right smack in the middle of the war!
but then came the inevitable lull, where the show trips over itself trying to explain the background for the first episode. For the most part, it succeeds, and the show even wraps up how the time paradox came about. However, the first episode elevated my expectations, perhaps to unrealistic heights, and the end left me. . . unfulfilled. The post credit tidbit made clear that there will be a second season, which is fine by me. I'm not sure if I will return for an encore, if a more interesting mecha show appears in the same season.
Final Grade: B

Even on streaming, there's just too many shows appearing for me to follow. I just grab a show that interests me for whatever reason (style of animation, premise, etc.).

I think the Irregular at Magic High School (on crunchyroll) is pretty awesome.
