One question, why do you not have an Avatar for the site, finalgear? Antony too, for that matter - do you guys want me to make some
for you? It's rather disconcerting to always see those bland generic ones you guys use here...we need some flair up in this one! ^_^

It's been a while since I posted some reviews, so here goes. . .
Still watching Baby Steps, an anime show about a slightly OCD kid who decides to take up tennis after his school crush asked him to try it with her. The show is a quintessential Japanese show in the sense that it focuses on the hard work and dedication that the main protagonist has to commit to in order to catch up with other players who had been playing for years and years. Very inspirational, and exciting at times. Tentative grade: A-
Haikyu!! is about a short kid who wants to be the ace spiker on his school volley ball team. It's an action comedy show about male relationships (non-sexual) and their drive to be the best team in Japan. Tentative grade: A-
Daimidaler: Prince V.S. Penguin Empire is a mecha parody show that MANY viewers will find objectionable. Why? Because the energy source to power up the mecha is Hi-Ero. What the heck is that you ask? Do you wanna know? Do you REALLY wanna know?

basically, the protagonist has to get horny, and he does so by groping a co-pilots chest to the extent that he makes her cum. Yup, definitely an MA show. that being said, the target audience is one that doesn't take itself too seriously, and willing to laugh at the hjinks. Final Grade: C
Blade & soul is about a young woman who wanders around in search of her master's killer. Despite the beautiful appearance of the woman, it turns out she is the finest assassin in the land. the empire in power sees her as a threat, and wants her dead just like her master. The show is very action oriented, but actually contains some fairly hard hitting mini stories. The director runs a fine line between showing splatters of blood to depict killings, without making it overly graphic. People kill a LOT in this show, but the show shies away from the gory scenes in order to attract a wider viewership. Tentative grade: B+

It's been a month since my last post, so let's make noise again! I finished watching Blade & Soul, and my final grade for this show is B+. Lots of great fighting animation sequences, solid artwork, intriguing stories. The only reason it doesn't score an A is because the background information is insufficient. What is "impurity?" And why does the empire actually NEED it when it has such a vast army? Some question marks that are unexplained by the end of the show.
I'm still watching Baby Steps. Very solid, enjoyable show. B+ tentative grade. Great story, but the background is sometimes used repetitively by the studio to save money.
Sword Art Online II--as a Hulu subscriber, I am able to watch the show immediately after Japanese simulcast--2 pm EST every Saturday. Kirito is asked by the government to investigate a gun based mmorpg because of the deaths of certain high profile players. Will Kirito discover the truth or will he fall victim himself? The art and animation is superb. However the setting is not something I'm very into. Tentative grade is a B.
Irregular at Magical Academy is probably the highest rated show I'm currently following. Also available on Hulu as simulcast at 2 pm EST on Saturdays. Superb animation, great character development and action scenes. Tentative Grade is A.

I haven't watched an anime since Railgun season two, which I probably said last time...but I still haven't seen anything
new! I'm having fun learning how to mod Fallout New Vegas, so that's taking up my time. Recently found some outfits of
Marisa and Reimu from Touhou, and added them for my characters! ^_^

I'll get around to showing them off in the gaming thread...when I have finished adding them in. The same guy who made the
Reimu and Marisa outfits made a Miku body/head, but the body really doesn't work right (the shoulders are badly deformed),
so that one didn't work. But the Samus Varia suit they did worked out okay! Just need to fix the helmet.
