I was watching some new episodes on Hulu Plus, and noticed that Bandai is finally onboard. Saw Please! Teacher and Please! Twins, among some other Bandai titles available. Woot! Now if only Hulu can get a deal for the Gundam shows!

Aldnoah Zero. . . had a strong premise---those dastardly martians wanna make war on Earth! But how the war ended was traumatic. There were hints already how the ending was going to be, and it went the way I expected it to. It has some decent mecha action, where Martians with much more superior mecha squishes Earth's outdated mecha like little bugs, except for one kid who uses a cool head to plan and execute a winning strategy. So. . . it's an "A" for mecha action, "C" for storyline. Final Grade averages out to a "B." The Irregular at Magic High School ended the way I expected it to, with a BANG! Lots of action galore, and lots of gore too. Still, the final episode showcased everyone, allowing the entire cast to shine. But it's not the tatsuya show for nothing, and the show shows exactly how far above the main protagonist is ahead of everyone else in terms of raw, naked magical power. I'm crossing my fingers for a season 2, because this is my vote for best show of the season. Final grade: A+

Well, that Aldnoah Zero didn't have much of a ending...I think its only meant to set up for season 2, which is due next spring. Still is refreshing to see lead characters gets killed off, just hope they don't bring them back and act nothing really happened.

I'm not convinced Zero will have a second season. Does it actually MERIT having one? The show is so meh.

Well, technically this is meant to be a cross season anime, so the 12eps is not really even a season because it has 24eps. They just decided to take a break before airing the rest, starting in Jan 2015. Which is why we didn't really see much of an ending, ep12 was only around half way to the actual ending.

The question is, do I care enough to watch second season?

Yeah, seems like more and more series are going this route through. the new Fate/stay night is going for the same thing I think. 12eps now and then a season off, then back with the rest.
Other animes are just following the hype of their manga counterparts, like Tokyo Ghoul and Tokyo ESP, both ended with lots more to be desired. Thing is, they'll both likely get another season in the near future when more chapters of manga is out.

I actually like Tokyo Ghoul. The last ep was a game changer for sure. Never took to TESP; dropped after 1 ep. :/
