Okay, here's a short run down on what I just finished watching. I got these out from layby the other day and have seen them all now, so will let you know what I thought of them, at least briefly... And all links go to Anime News Network. Appleseed Ex Machina: *Link*This was an outstanding visual feast! I loved every minute of it, and the ending was fabulous! I didn't really get it for the John Woo stuff, and even though a lot of his stuff was in it, the movie still stands out as it's own vehicle. The story won out over the graphics or the action, but the whole mix blended near-perfectly, and so we now have a winner on our hands here. This is one movie that I will watch over and over again! Deunan is ultra hot in this movie too! Disgaea Series: *Link*Well, this was a fun romp, but I'm sure anyone else here who's seen it would say that the animation was a very poor effort, especially compared to the brilliant artwork by Harada-sama. Still, the story was similar but different in many places to the game, and the fun was just that...fun. One beef I must add is that the silly moments with Gordon and crew smacked heavily of Team Rocket, and I was a bit p*ssed off at the small interaction between them and the other guys - I mean, they're main characters too, for crying out loud! Oh well, I'll still go back to the show when I want some silly stuff to watch! The Cat Returns (Neko no Ongaeshi): *Link*Of course, this was just a replacement for my damaged version of the movie, as I have owned this one before. BUT! This will not stop me from telling you all how wonderful it was to see this masterpiece all over again! ^-^ This movie was and still is one of my most favourite of animated movies around, and even of all time. I just love Haru-chan and Baron is really kakko~i (cool)! I love the fun moments and the magic - as well as Muta's well-timed accidental rescues! ^_^ I recommend this to anyone who hasn't seen it! Nya~! Lucky Star Collection One (1-12): *Link*This is the last, but not least. I shall tell you all of how extremely badly I wanted to see this series, and I finally saw it at the store and put it on hold (layby here in OZ). Well, I've watched it and BOY! It is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo hard to follow or get into at first! O___O I tried to like it, but every moment something would spin off to another direction, I found myself wandering and sometimes not even paying attention. The pace is quick and the story has absolutely no single train of thought. I just couldn't get to like it. Especially that Akira! Lucky Channel's Akira is such a brat! I still don't like her even after watching the entire collection (12 episodes), but Minoru Shiraishi is cool! ;D I could smack that little minx, however! #_# (Has anyone seen episode 12 though? Akira's posterboard gag was spot-on hilarious! I lol'ed in RL at that!) ;D Well, I watched the whole collection, and what happened? The last episode on the set was finally coherent! Yattaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! X3 Ahem. Yes, well....I can now say that I like it, due to the end of the show so far being more coherent and after a while the characters started to feel solid to me and worth watching. I can recommend this to those who like a show after watching it several times, or those who have little to no sense of cohesion -- seriously though, I watch this show now for Kagamin~!!! She is sooo kawaii! I really came to love her to bits, and really REALLY must get all of her figures and other merchandise! I am Kagamin-Otaku!! Fear me!! Mwahaha! XD AHEM! Well, that's it for Anime Review Theater - Stay tuned for more after I buy some! Super Kagami Stalking Attack!!! X3 errr, forgive him - he rarely gets let out of the kennel...

I've been having computer problems lately. 23 infections on my main labtop (KONE, SHeur2, Generic12,etc. ) that eventually took over my computer (changed screen, task manager turned off, admin user account locked out). I bit the bullet and had the hard drive reformatted. currently adding programs back into the HD.
But i think the economic situation is putting a damper on everyone's mood here. ><

I've been fighting off a nasty flu for the past 2 weeks so I really haven't had time to make any long-winded posts. I will say that I'm disappointed to hear that the animation in Disgaea isn't all that great. The promo artwork certainly looked good enough. It's a real shame, especially since the actual game was such a gem. =/
So...exactly how many pieces of Kagamin merchandise have you managed to get your hands on thus far? X)

@ Antony: yeah, the college I go to has been having fits of that kind too. Wouldn't put it past the old bugs creeping into the system to make money... @ Lauren: That's not good to hear - I hope you're feeling better. Cheer up, hon! And as for Kagamin~~, I sadly have only pictures on the HDD and one or two posters at this time... but!! The yen is starting to lower against our dollar, so maybe I shall be able to get my hands on the Kagami Miku Nendoroid??!!! ^o^ I recently rewatched the entire GiTS:SAC series and movie. It really gets better with each watch! ^_~

I'm sort of just regurgitating the series I have at this time, as I have a limited flow of cash - saving for a big holiday this coming easter. I'm still enjoying the series I own, and of course have grown to love Lucky Star - mostly because of my wife Kagami! Anyway, hope everyone's enjoying their series! ^_^

Quite a few shows and ending. Series review for To Aru Majutsu no Index posted in my blog. Skimmed parts of the final ep of Casshern, and eps 23, 24 of Toradora. Need to watch them fully before I write some comments.

I just finished Clannad After Story, and am waiting for the last episodes of SOUL EATER and Toradora!
Clannad After Story sort of had a Deus Ex Machina for the purposes of a GOOD END, but it was still a good ride, with lots of emotional highs and lows. I'm not quite sure what to make of the relationship resolutions in Toradora! either, but hopefully the last episode will tie up any loose ends and send the characters off in good shape. I definitely will be picking up Clannad once it comes out in complete box sets.
As for the Spring season, the new Fullmetal Alchemist is definitely on my to-watch list, as well as the next KyoAni production K-On, while theres a whole host of OVAs on my plate as well (Spice and Wolf, Ichigo Mashimaro, Kodomo no Jikan, and Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei).

Good to see. I've almost finished downloading Sky Girls to watch, and will be tackling a few old things as well as some newer stuff. I have a much faster DSL line now, so I can get a lot more stuff faster! ^_____^

It's so sad, but I haven't had that much time for anime, due to school and my Mom's surgery and stuff... Maybe I'll download Negima?!...

I just finished watching Sky Girls and am re-watching Lucky Star again (gotta support my wife Kagamin!), and have Dennou Coil lined up for tomorrow onwards. I'll be downloading Full Metal Panic series one and some other (including Spice and Wolf) series, so I'll be watching some mean stuff soon! [^_^]
