Doing fairly well, funny you mentioned fighting off animals..in particular penguins. I visit many many boards and blogs. I was on one last evening related to news of political nature and as usual it devolved into a mess of stupidity. In it, one poster was talking about homelessness and that she regularly gave food to a veteran that was on the street near her home ( I can relate to veterans and their issues being I am one ). This veteran had told her that he had fought in combat in Antarctica and we had done military missions on Mars and she completely believed him. I didn't post any replies on that one because once something such as that is put out there you simply never know exactly what the poster's intention is. Could simply be baiting the board...and if so it worked. One poster replied if we had done such, were we up against penguins in Antarctica and if this veteran had met John Carter while on Mars.....Gotta love life.

Outside of my family, I had the honor to work with some of the most fantastic people I've ever known and who also have given much influence to how I've turned out to be ( again, outside of what my family also provided me ). It was a good four years. There are those mornings when I get up and I so wish nothing more than to walk out, jump in a "bob tail" ( a modified pickup truck used for towing ) and being out among the F-16's on the flight line of Hill A.F.B. while the sun is coming up behind the Wasatch Front. The sights, sounds, the smell of burnt J-P4 while jets are idling.....people moving about doing their jobs, calls coming in over the radio for equipment....Yep, every now and then I wish I could go back if only for a day. |
