You can get still get Chrono Trigger if you buy Final Fantasy Chronicles. I mainly play Guilty Gear XX Accent Core, well not really play more like practice combos in that game for a few hours.

I only have Soul Blade in the "Soul" series of games, and being the first, it suffers compared to the recent versions, but it's still the ground floor for the series, and purists will need to start there. Other than that, it's still a good game, if a bit dated or strange.
And no, Chrono Trigger is not available on either SNES or PS1 retail since it's so old, but eBay has it either way. It's not cheap, and no, I won't sell you mine! ^_~

The Amazon one isn't available for me, but I didn't know that either way. The reason I didn't know is that Amazon doesn't ship games to my country, so I didn't check for that option...

**joins the CT crew***
Highly recomended. Much better than a lot of RPG´s released recently. The battles were very dynamic and the soundtrack is fabulous.

Oh wow, Chrono Trigger is only $20? I might pick it up next time I'm shopping at Amazon.

Loved Chrono Trigger! Lunar SSSC and EB still hold a special place for me, but Chrono Trigger is the one game that can come REALLY close to matching them. If you can find either version for $20, then jump on it as it's money well spent. Can't say the same for it's "sequel" Chrono Cross.

I've never had time for Cross. I've seen some trailers, which looked pretty good. But the actual game I just never had time to play. T_T

I tried playing Chrono Cross but gave up after a week of gameplay. The battle system really confused me for some reason. Gotta say though, the CG graphics were mighty pretty to look at.

I tried my best to get into Cross, but like L said, the battle system was just too confusing (and the story wasn't as good as Trigger either). The only other battle system that infuriated me more was FF VIII's god awful draw system for magic. After the wonderful Materia system of FF VII, making a system that required you to draw magic spells from enemies in order to use the spell for a limited number of times was just retarded.

That messed up battle system spoiled all the game for sure. Story was so-so but still enjoyable. The big problem is that it was stated as a CT sequel and it doesn´s relate that much with it. Didn´t live to the hype. AFB we could easily lost half hour just doing draw on FF8 Although i think i spent more time on the card duels than playing the main storyline. I miss the materia sytem too. The one used on FF12 is not the best choice too either :/ I like the old school mode of chosing the actions.

My main gripe with FFXII was that it tried too hard to be like FFXI with it's battle system. An MMO battle system just does not work on a single player offline RPG.

I can still remember seeing the screenshots of Chrono Trigger for the first time in a gaming mag - I wish I still had the pages. But, I just knew I had to have it, so I waited for it to be released in the states, and then I ordered it through an importer here in OZ, along with the adapter to play it. I spent over 130 dollars just on the game, but it was more than worth it for me - I love CT the most of ANY game! ^____^

Just because they charged a lot for it, though the import fee would have been the majority of the fee. Worth it all though! ^_^
