Speaking of buying, I just dropped by amiami's used section. Another 700 or so items added. Apparently, a lot of stuff were ordered last week or so but never paid for. ouch. Well, I'm not complaining, since I could look at what's available. The bad part? Small price increases (around 10%) on the relisted items. >_> Too bad I can't afford all the adds to my watchlist. lol yep.. i notice that increase just keep price shopping

going back "on topic" now, the problem with buying used figures is that the condition may not be as well or accurately described. Stuff may be missing, or weird marks here and there. W/ Amiami, they tell you if something is missing or easy to break. So if you're buying used figures, where else would you go to do your price shopping? Ebay has a bunch of used figures sellers located in Japan, but they seem to focus on volume selling and don't bother to even post actual pics of the items. So it's hard for me to price shop w/ them, unless we're talking a new and unopened item.

I went overboard w/ Amiami. I owe them 17k yen for 5 used figures. Shipping will cost 5k yen.

I hardly get buyer's remorse. My last regrettable purchase was Bandai's D-Arts P4U Elizabeth. I can't understand how they could charge a 5k yen msrp when the figure does not even come w/ a stand (sold separately). @_@

I'm having an "interesting" problem w/ an ebay purchase. I had bought a used figure from a reputable seller located in Japan. It's an Armor Girls Project Infinite Stratos charlotte Dunois School Uniform action figure from Bandai. Price was $38 shipped. The item took a week and a half to go from Japan to New York City. Tracking number indicated that US customs has it. But after a week, they still haven't released the package. Usually it takes about 2 weeks for a SAL package to arrive from japan. But w/ the customs hold up, it's already been 3 weeks. It's the first time this has happened to me, and I'm just wondering if you guys ever experienced this problem w/ customs. Small update. the ebay seller submitted an insurance claim with Japan Post. A week later, US customs released the package to me. A coincidence? Doubt it. My package had indeed been opened for inspection. But there was no explanation why customs held it for 4 weeks. Considering that I DID get the package in the end, I'll call it a happy ending. ^^

That being said, I was using my android phone to surf their site yesterday for the first time, and I have to say the mobile version works really well. I was able to make 2 purchases from the used section, one for a Dog Days figma figure, the other a Love, Election, and Chocolate high priestess figure. With shipping via SAL registered, my order will cost me 80 bucks. Now that's a bargain! ^^ USPS just delivered this package. However, the red ribbon on the gal's head broke/snapped off. I think the damage as due to mishandling by USPS rather than amiami receiving it that way; they would noted the damage if this was the case. The box was busted up, and received a C grade at their website. So that I expected. I just used a bit of putty to stick the ribbon back on the figure's head and I'm displaying the figure on a corner right now. Can't even see the ribbon, so no worries.

Now this is sick! amiami listed a rare Rosario + vampire Mizore figure used for 28k yen last night. I check the site just now, and. . . SOMEONE BOUGHT IT!!! Man, ppl have WAY too much money if they'll blow 280 bucks on a used figgie. @_@
