Well, figmas can be hit or miss. I have that Rider too. I personally think it's fine.

I saw another pre-order for sale in japan only at amiami. It's Guyver I figma. I would get it, but the MSRP of 5200 (15% off at Amiami though) plus shipping is a tad higher than I'm willing to pay for a figma right now. I'll probably just get it used off their pre-owned section next year or something.

You know...I saw a figure that was for the Japanese market only BUT decided to give it a go only since the site says that those orders will be automatically cancelled. Figured you won't be out anything other than a try. The one I ordered.... www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?gcode=FIGURE-002298&page=top%2Fsearch%2Flist%3Fs_cate3%3D9713%24pagemax%3D20%24getcnt%3D0%24pagecnt%3D35came through........ I don't know what makes the determination of what is only "for sale in Japan" or not. That said, the one I chose as an attempt to see if they will sell here did come through. What was interresting of note though is that when I went to pick up the package at the post office, the guy behind the counter when he was having me sign the electronic paperwork for it noticed that it had no detailed description of what was inside. It simply said plastic toy. Most of the other one's I've ordered have come with the manufacturer's name or product name with "used toy" or "used figure" on it. Still, it did come through and it gives me some hope that when I decide to try for a bigger item from one of the lines they offer I might be able to get it.

Wow, I like that OniAi figure. Really gave serious thought to buying it myself when it came out. But I had to pass. :/ She's really cute, though. And I assume she's staying in her cushion seat w/ no problem?

Yep, she stays in her pillow without any problems. Her skirt "locks" her in position so to speak. For the heck of it I played around and tried doing so without the skirt for those who like to display the bishojo in a more "risque" way. You can do so which causes her to slide forward a bit. In that case, her hair serves as a catch and prevents her from coming any farther forward.
I'll tell you though, when it comes to this particular postal worker....he's rather nosey. I get the same one just about 90% of the time. That's my kind of luck. I am not at home when the figures come so I'm not there to sign for them and have to go to pick them up. The Super Pochaco Beer Girl figure was just released and I got the notice of ready for payment. Sooo...I'm sure with my luck I'll get to deal with him again on that figure as well.

Look on the bright side---if your mail carrier is familiar with the neighborhood, the likelihood of delivery to the WRONG address is diminished. I've had mail that is misdelivered to me, and even missing mail b/c the USPS keeps changing the workers on my delivery route.

This guy isn't the mail carrier though...He's one of the counter workers at the postal office itself. I didn't have to deal with him this time though. When I went to pick up this package delivery, they had a worker that was looking for those of us in line with package pick up tags. She went in back and got the packages for me so I never even had to go up and deal with the folks at the counter.
