I just looked at the exchange rates, and U.S. dollar is now worth 105+ yen. That is quite high, meaning that your Japanese imports are going to cost less. Please regard this as a public service announcement. LMK what you guys buy as a result of the dollar appreciation.

I don't, since I buy if I like what I see, and I have pre-ordered a few new things again a few days ago because I loved what I saw on AmiAmi.
And I use AUD and not USD, so it's cheaper to send stuff to us! ^_^

Oh, it was pre-owned. Ever since you guys turned me on to pre-owned after I discovered this site that's about all I've ordered. That said, it was 27,500 yen for the figure and just over 13,000 yen for shipping. It's big, very big and very heavy. I know my 1 / 2.5 scale Please Teacher figures wiegh in around 12 lbs if I recall correctly. They are made by A+. so is this new ( new for me but pre-owned ) 1 / 2.5 scale figure so I bet she comes in about about the same wieght. You can bet I used my every point I had gained in my previous purchases Didn't help a whole lot though becuase of the total cost But every little bit I can do to lessen the impact I'll take.

It's no big deal Nutz....It's just another hobby. They're solid polyresin and at just about 26 inches tall ( atleast the Please Teacher figures are )that makes for some serious chunk o' resin. Then you have the wooden base as well.

Yen is raising off the chart now...107.5 to dollar. Last time it was this high I wasn't even collecting anything. Hopefully this tread would continue and maybe one day it'll be back to 125 per dollar As for me, I'll be observing Yahoo Japan closely for more anime cels/sketches.

Since I was resurrected by the raising exchange rate, I'll be around as long as this trend keeps going...108.45 to dollar now!
