Funny you should post about games - I've been playing Atelier Iris 3 all afternoon, and I must say, I thoroughly enjoy it! I really like the quest dealie and the fact that you can choose Japanese voiceovers! ^^ I really am into more games that allow for this - gives me a sense of playing an original!

Surprisingly I haven't really played a JRPG in a long time! I think the last was Queen's Blade: Spiral Chaos but I've gotta load up Ar Tonelico one of these days~ I love RPGs where you can select the dub! Holy crap! Don't wanna spoil anyone about Heavy Rain but these trials I'm going through are getting gruesome! I've gotten through three trials testing how far I would go to save the main character's son! First was a test of courage where I had to drive 5 miles on the on coming lane of a Freeway, second was crawling through glass then getting past some electrical generators in a power plant and the last one is what I would sacrifice which I will post below so anyone weak from things seen in the SAW movies, don't read on! (is there a spoiler tag/code I can use)? SPOILERS/SQUEAMISH WARNINGWow, the third out of five trials is probably the worst I've done so far! "How far will you go to sacrifice yourself to save a loved one?" That was the question walking into a room that has recently been on fire. As the main character listened to his next trial, the requirement for more letters for the sick hangman game to find his son arose. "Cut off one of your fingers infront of the camera to receive the next clues. You have five minutes to complete this task". Easier said than done! Inside the room was an array of "helpful" tools to take your pinky off, a knife, axe, hacksaw, scissors and etc...There was quite a bit of work before doing the deed such as finding some alcohol, disinfectant, and a metal bar(that you can heat up), these are items to either make the pain go away faster or keeping your main character alive. So here comes the cutting part...ewww, my brother couldn't watch and it took me longer than I thought to do it. You can't do it in a flick of a button, the character has a certain wuss level and it requires a couple attempts before cutting "it" off. ENDAll in all, what an experience!! Even though it's a game, alot of the trials that I had to do, I could have simply walked out but the penalty would be not getting the letters/numbers to find where my son is located(before he drowns). This game is sooo much like the SAW movies from my experience. Everyone who has their son kidnapped has to go through sick tests and from my information I've learned so far, 8 kidnapped boys which were found dead means that none of the fathers have successfully saved them...Long post but this game is awesome!! I kinda wanna spend my week off from classes getting as many endings as I can(22 in total).

Did you start a new game smallwind? Hope you didn't get that stupid PSN problem, everyone I knew with a "phat" PS3 had that problem lol.
Got myself Valkyria Chronicles finally, very fun to play!

I'm almost finished Atelier Iris 3 and have also started to play Phantasy Star Universe.... the latter is a bit corny in places, and the voice acting a bit primitive, but it may grow on me....

Cripes. Syn, I just got done reading your post on Heavy Rain. It sounds incredibly demented. Good thing you have a strong stomach. ^_^;
Got my Premium Ed. of Lunar Silver Star Harmony today in the mail. Thing is, I'm in a bit of a conundrum. I want to play the game but I also don't want to remove its shrinkwrap. It's too pretty...and a factory sealed Lunar game is just....it's precious. >_>
I'm also waiting on the Prima guide from Ebgames.

Much like how I want to open my Bome Monsieur Ignis~ Finished Heavy Rain, real movie like but I'm disappointed at one of the characters that I can use~
Man, what the hell is with Valkyrie Chronicles?? I can say that I'm a veteran turn based player but holy, all the missions I've passed, I've only received rank C or D!! Am I too cautious?? Even though my platoon is a harem with all women but I have a good amount of classes(2 Lancers, 2 Scouts, 2 snipers, 2 shock troopers and an Engineer from my recollection). Anyone read about the new Star Ocean on PS3? Curious about it, I guess I'm all RPG'd out now, Not buying FFXIII but I guess I'll borrow it from a friend.

I'm a couple of chapters in and I don't think I understand all the mechanics of each class and the importance of grenades...I'm doing so bad that I'm getting very low rankings. It's all the FPS games I've been playing...and Street Fighter IV....
