Just be sure to get it when you can most afford it - don't regret it later! ^_~

David - You're very right. It seems like the second and third DVD volumes are the rarest, so they're the most expensive. ^^; Lazy - It sounds like you've been watching too many sci-fi movies lately.

Well, you could always try the Madman site for the PAL releases of the anime - sure, it may be harder to buy from a different country, but we have plenty of stock! ^_^

Would PAL DVDs work on a USA DVD player, though? I don't have any of those fancy region free players.

The PAL DVDs won't work on the US players but you can play them on your computer tho. The computer dvd drive should ignore dvd region code.

Well, it depends on the player you have, Lauren. If you tell me the model number and stuff, I can consult a hack site for DVD setups - it's how I can play any region on my player at the moment! ^^

Don't the computers lock after changing the region a number of times, though? I think I had that problem with my old Toshiba laptop. I'm currently a Mac user so I don't know if the same rules apply. @ David - Oh geez, the model number? Those are located on the backside of the players, right? My DVD player is in such a place where I can't really take it out to look at it. And it's a pretty old Sony machine. Probably from early '02. ^^;;

Most of the DVD players/burners on a PC have region locking that's not possible to fix after a certain time, so be careful of that.
As for the DVD model number, what I meant was the name of it (like my Philips DVD player has DVP-3110K written on the front). Just see what you can get. But being a Sony means that you may have trouble. Most (if not all) of the higher-priced or better systems have hidden all-region playability already in them. They just can't tell you that, due to laws.
Anyway, see what you can do. ^^;

But being a Sony means that you may have trouble. Yeah, that's what I kind of figured. I'm probably just gonna stick with the R1 F/SN DVDs. I only need one more anyway.

Well, only if you don't want to try...
Anyway, I finally got BLEACH volume 3 today, but it's also a cliffhanger. Well, I guess you get that with an anime that's over 180 episodes long and still going! -_-;

Bleach is over 180 episodes?! That's...er...impressive.

Not as impressive as Ranma 1/2 - over 300, I think....but I also think that that is including all of the series since the manga was created.

Huh, interesting. Though Ranma kind of lost its steam after the first season. At least Bleach appears to keep up the quality. ^^;

Ranma's first season is definitely the best one. I also enjoyed the OAV series a lot. The movies weren't very good, imo.
It's hard to compare Bleach and Ranma. Bleach has a much more serious tone, overall. Ranma is big on the comedy angle.
