I have ffix setting on my shelf right now, only played it once, for like 20 minutes, but I liked it alot as the story seems to be interesting, but can't say the same about the graphic.

Crazy person. The graphics were and still are some of the best stuff out there! There's no clipping or pop-up, and the entire world can be traversed without slowdown or severe sudden arrivals of scenery and stuff...this was and is still my second favourite Final Fantasy after Seven! And the music! Sheer heaven! ^_______^

For it's day, it was clean and as smooth as the PSX could handle. Naturally for the older system it has it's flaws, but looking beyond those, the game is one of the most solid from Square. It's the sparkling clean backgrounds and the FMVs that strike me hardest, however! ^_^

but that was the old gen system days, now those graphics are nothin! the proof..well, I couldn't handle it I'll give ya that much lol
nah maybe just maybe, I'll go back and try to exp it once again before I get onto ps3 platform, if time allows.

But graphics mean nothing to me. The story or overall pacing needs to be good. Most games these days lack everything but the graphics...FFIX delivers on everything, and that's why it's such a memorable experience for me. I'm reminiscing even as I play right now! ^_^

yes, yes, but its a whole different issue to me..I need both graphic and story, and game play need to be good. I'd say ffxii is not all that much about story, but the graphic blew me away and the game play was really fun, and so its the greatest final fantasy ever made in my book.

True that it sucks if graphics are bad, but they are not in Nine. The graphics are not as good as today, but seriously, who wants realism in graphics? That's too real when trying to play fantasies - I want to escape reality while playing, not invite it in....that's why FFVII and IX are still my most favourite games. Not that Crisis Core was bad - I still am very fond of that bit of software! ^^

I look for that semi realism of the games, like ff xii and coming up XIII. the way I see it, a good game today won't work without the mixture of realism and fantasy(nobody would've played GTA if its got ff7's graphic), and the graphic need to be clear enough in order to be expressive and realistic, I hated xenosaga's first ep where kosmos's fingers can't even separate, I wanted to see a hand, not a pawn! that's not "expressive", I'm sure the developers was trying to make out hands..anyways that's what I'm saying, if I don't see enough details I can start my imagination, and I get bothered to a degree when I see really bad graphics, I won't be able to enjoy the gaming exp(there are exceptions like ff7, but that's why I hope they remake it for the better visual exp) or even continue the game, so bad graphic just won't work for me.
when sephiroth killed arith I didn't feel much of anything, besides suprise, but even then I'm not sure(wait, is that a..guy? sticking something into another, person? aw thats cute lol)...but when zark tried to protect cloud in the CC ending my eyes were watering up(I think), because the former is not expressive enough/graphic. ok ff 7 sence was not bad, but game graphic is bad enough..so bad they need to make cut sence to be expressive.

Well, I just finished FFIX for the second time tonight. I have only finished it once before, and was very happy with the end - it's certainly one of the best endings in a game, or any story for that matter. I really think endings are what makes me like or dislike a game. If they are bad, then I am very upset, as I don't like wasting my time caring for characters only to get stiffed on the ending. Anyway, this is one of the best ones, and I will probably go and play FFVII again now! Finish that one for the tenth time! ^_______^

Y's VII!!!!!!!!!! t's finally over!! prably one of the greatest psp game I've played during all these years I owned psp, along side with legend of hero 5-7! now I fear Y's 8 won't be as great as this..still, I can't wait!! @dave, why do you play same games over and over, and over and over and over try some new games man, each game gives out a different feel, don't miss out! I try to play as many as I could but still don't have time for all the good ones out there...and I only play rpgs ;D

Give me a new system and I will play new games. :X I can't play new games, and I like the ones I have more than the new ones anyway! Isn't Ys VII called Ark of Napishtim? If so, then I have the PS2 one, and while good, there's a lot better out there. Ys 4 was supposed to have been the greatest out of them all. Do Yanoman still make them along with Falcom? I haven't checked it out.... And "good new RPGs" ...is that still a term they use these days?

go get a new system then, find your balance between getting nendos and play games lol
and ark is ys 6, while good, its not memorable, can't be compared with VII which has advanced to a different style and system while keeping some good stuff, nor can the two stories compare. and ys 7 is specifically designed for psp, there are no other versions out there unlike most previous titles, hints the perfection!!..but I'm very carious about 4 since you mentioned, gonna have to go check it out. and, whats yanoman?
and also, there are plenty of good new prgs out there comon, recent years theres persona 3,4 wildarms 5 just on ps2 alone, and I'm sure there are many on new gen systems as well.

I've not got time nor money to spend on new systems, especially since there's almost nothing available in the RPG line for either system. PS3 only has two or three, and none are available here yet. I don't want an Xbox, as the RPGs they get are better on the PS3. And Yanoman was a company who used to work on making Ys. I've already played P3/4 and never got Wildarms 5 - if it even available in PAL territories? And there are hardly any good RPGs these days, as opposed to the good old days of the SNES/Genesis. There were too many to count on one hand as there are hardly any to fill one hand these days - they make far too many action games or MMORPGs... Anyway, I will remain in the old days for a while longer - I want to feel immersed and lost in a great game and forget about RRODs and which version of Bayonetta is better....

what? no time for new games but time for old games? Xbox's got a lot of RPGs I think, more than ps3 as of now. and they already have starocean4, and ffxiii they also gets to share, and tales of vesperia and also magna carta 2 which I don't even think they'll have a ps3 release..
well wildarms 5 is in my opinion the best wildarms game made by far, and its also got one of the most epic stories out there. and there is the AU release. but ya I agree, too many action games out there.
