Gore, loli, shota, straight shota, incest, etc? Makoto Uno has some pretty popular doujins on the net which some people don't even realize it's his stuff even if they have seen it(Angel Blade, Godannar and Shota x One). The one thing I liked about OH!GREAT's H-Manga stuff were that they weren't all entirely just sex whereas why his Shonen stuff turn out so popular but usually drag on(Tenjo Tenge and Air Gear). I do like his style because it looks simple but there are fine details within his works. Many Mangaka's dive in to nudity and stuff like that, I'm surprised at how many "nekkid" girls Mine Yoshizaki has in his art books~ That's one thing I hate about Mangakas and artists, they usually go by either 2 pen names or under a certain circle...bah.

Just finished up Chibi Vampire (why didn't they just keep the name Karin for it -_-) and the ending was both great, and somewhat heartbreaking as well. I liked it more than the usual ending because part of it was something I really didn't see coming until it happened.
I say finished as in finished the main series. TokyoPop released an extra volume that came out after the main story as sort of an epilogue/side story deal, and it just arrived today. I'll probably try to read it tomorrow.

(why didn't they just keep the name Karin for it -_-) Oh, I know the answer to this. It was because TokyoPop was already publishing Kamichama Karin and didn't want readers/consumers to be confused by the similar sounding titles. They ended up changing Karin to something more distinguishable - obviously, "Chibi Vampire".

Oh well. Unnecessary name change or not, I'm just glad the series came over and got finished. It was a wonderful series to read and one of the few that I was really sad to see end. I loved this series and it's wacky cast of characters. The story made me feel invested in them and their lives over the years it was released. Now that it's over, it's kinda like saying goodbye to a friend you've known for a while. That sounds kinda weird to say about a manga, but it's how I feel about it.

True, you can always re-read the entire series again if you wish. I understand you mean, though. The feeling is always bittersweet when you finish reading a series that was so satisfying and fulfilling right until the very end.

Oh it's definitely going on my list of must re-read and enjoy. It's a very short list that includes the likes of Midori Days, Chrono Crusade, Ai Yori Aoshi, etc.
If no one's guessed yet, I'm the hopeless romantic type XD

Does anyone own any Doujins? I have over a hundred I guess. You need to understand Japanese a lot better to read them though! ^_^;

it'd be nice if they'd translate some Doujin's other than adult ones. I just do not have the time to invest in learning Japanese -_-

Yeah, I have many normal ones, like Kannagi and another that's original in story. I have mostly illustration doujins, though.

I'm probably the only one who doesn't own any doujin. I never really saw the appeal. I'm probably just a cheapskate who'd rather blow hard-earned cash on official manga. lol

Just a casual anime fan over here. Truthfully, I never really understood what a Doujin was until I watched Genshiken. Never even heard of Comiket until they mentioned it on the show.
